Minnesota Sri Lanka Friendship Foundation News Letter | September 2020 |
Galapitagala Vidyalaya is a small public school with about two hundred students and twenty eight teachers. School parents comes from the farming and labor community, with less than $100 a month income.

MnSLFF is happy to announce the completion of Leighton Auditorium project. We had to extend the time line to accommodate the COVID 19 lockout schedules. End result is very appealing to the students and great service to the school, and the community.
It is the dream of Mr. Leighton Jayasekara of Texas USA, to provide a place for the students to sit and watch their performance. After the demise of Mr. Jayasekara, Mrs. Chandrika Ratnayake from Minnesota took the responsibility to assure the uninterrupted funding for the project. School principal Nalika Siriwardena, Staff and the students are grateful for the gift.
